Mahalo, SOCV, for the link. They both seem to be typical Hawaii kids in their demeanor, similar to Marcus Mariota.

  2. We had a nice chat walking up to CMS, and I just encouraged him to play confidently like he did in his sophomore year and play to his strengths. I wished him well in this coming season as well as in school. He's a great kid, very personable and respectful to an old fart like me!

    Sansei Bear,

I greatly appreciate your words of support for Brandon Smith. After playing so well in his sophomore year, after the sudden departure of Gary Franklin, he was relegated to a supporting role, and that is a tough adjustment. Then he had a concussion, and had to miss a couple of games. He is a good kid and a tough kid, and he will perservere, but your words can only help him. Thanks.
  4. Hi, John!

My new e-mail address is tomoisa@hawaii.rr.com. I'm meeting some friends on this trip, but let's definitely get together on a future home game. I'll keep in touch!

    Aloha Isami!

I tried to send you e-mail, but it came back undeliverable. If you are coming out for the game this weekend, we should meet up before or after the game as I now live in Berkeley, near the BART station.

    A hui hou!
