Thanks for bumping the thread and putting in a good word for Joel. To tell you the truth I don't know much about the guy, but I live in Alameda and have seen Rob Bonta's politics up close and detest the guy.
Joel being a Cal Bear may have also played a part in it.
I've done politics before and know that volunteers and spreading good word amongst friends can make a huge difference in local campaigns.

Volunteers apparently meet on Thursday evenings, on friends and family night where people come to call voters to get Joel's name out there and discuss his priorities as a potential Assemblyman. If you would like to come and get involved, this might be a great way, since you would get to meet people who are close to Joel that can answer any questions you may have.
