Ken Wong and I are moving back to the West side of memorial. What section are you in? If I recall it was EE? Will be in Honolulu working with te Department of Education January 7 - 11. Lunch is on me.
We had a nice chat walking up to CMS, and I just encouraged him to play confidently like he did in his sophomore year and play to his strengths. I wished him well in this coming season as well as in school. He's a great kid, very personable and respectful to an old fart like me!
I greatly appreciate your words of support for Brandon Smith. After playing so well in his sophomore year, after the sudden departure of Gary Franklin, he was relegated to a supporting role, and that is a tough adjustment. Then he had a concussion, and had to miss a couple of games. He is a good kid and a tough kid, and he will perservere, but your words can only help him. Thanks.
