    Derek Mason in the mix?

According to Bruce Feldman, he is in the mix.

Don't know too much about him to be honest, but I remember his name being brought up last time.

If we are looking to lock in a consistent 5-7 record...he should be given serious consideration.

But think positively! We would have only paid $5mm for the right to get him!

I don't know who uses them more but Ludwig's bubble screens always seemed to get snuffed out by the defense at Wisconsin and Vanderbilt.

Well then you weren't paying attention this year. With that said, Spav is a jedi bubble screener and Ludwig is a novice.

Simply stated, we need a guy who has coached in a Power 5 Conference, is youthful and energetic, can recruit successfully, knows the territory(the West Coast), has absorbed what he has learned and is able to apply it, has a well-formed football philosophy and has worked for some of the best. That's the formula. Can we find a guy that's affordable and satisfies the criteria?

Derek Mason would have been a good choice the last time around, but that ship has sailed and is anchored down in Nashville.
