So is Scott Pagano coming to Cal or what?

Though 6 SEC teams want him.

DT Grad transfer from Clemson(did Clemson beat Alabama? I don't even remember or care). There are rumors from what I hear.

Actually 32 teams want him including:
That group includes LSU, Washington, Arizona State, Kentucky, Charlotte, North Carolina, Cal, Temple, Oklahoma State, FIU, FAU, East Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Nebraska, Maryland, Ole Miss, Utah State, Arkansas, Louisiana Tech, Texas A&M, Oregon, USC, Louisville, Oklahoma, Memphis, Ohio State, Baylor, Notre Dame, SMU, Purdue and Hawaii.

I don't know squat but the kid is from Hawaii and if he's transferring cause he's "finished everything he meant to do at Clemson" he's looking to go home or be much closer to home. Family or something along those lines probably
3-9 and a 95% graduation rate trump a Rose Bowl

    He's supposedly headed west:

“He indicated to me that he wants to start his graduate degree and play his final year of college football, probably on the West Coast.”

That rules out the ACC, Big 12, Big Ten and SEC, leaving only the Pac-12 as a realistic landing spot. Given his talent and projections as a top 10 defensive tackle in the 2018 NFL Draft, it’s unlikely that he drops out of the Power Five.

Probably wasn't going to start for Clemson in 2017 because they have two 5* defensive tackles returning in Christian Wilkins and Dexter Lawrence. But would have played a lot as the first guy off the bench. He's good enough to start for many Power Five teams.

Definitely. He is a good college defensive tackle who has a chance to play in the NFL.

This is exactly what we need. Hopefully Tui and Azz are on it.

Man we could really use him to anchor a 3-4. I agree he would start at DT at Cal, probably alongside Looney who would be one of the DEs in a 3-4.

Does he have family in the bay area? For family it's easier to fly in to catch a game or two from Hawaii vs going to the South or East coast. Also, is the Hawaii bowl still a thing? We would be more likely to go to that bowl vs Clemson. I'm being serious.

It takes 5.8 hours to fly from San Francisco to Honolulu, 6 hours from Los Angeles and 6.5 hours from Seattle. The choice is clear.

I'm sure Wilcox & staff are pursuing him vigorously. Still a very long shot.
