    OT: X-Box games

Hey everyone. I've got a friend who's kid is really sick. Not sure if he will survive.

He spends his days sitting in the hospital playing video games but is getting tired of the same games over and over. Wondering if any of you have any games you can donate to him? Let me know if you have any thoughts by posting here or emailing me direct.

We are so grateful to the amazing doctors, nurses, child life specialists, techs and volunteers at Hemby Children's Hospital for everything they have done for Griffin. One of the wonderful perks of the pediatric floor is that each patient room has an Xbox 360. There are games and movies available as well. For Grif, this was helpful to passing the long and difficult days. However, these machines don't last forever, and they are played with over and over again. If you have an Xbox 360 and games that you are no longer using, please consider donating them. I will happily bring them in. I can assure you that the joy they will bring to a sick child is more than I could express with words. ❤️

I'm a PlayStation owner, but what a great friend. Best wishes.

Are you looking for any games or specifically trying to add new ones? Let me know if there's a list of already owned ones to make sure there aren't repeats.

I have numerous games, many never opened. Most are rated "T" or "M." Regardless, I would love to donate some of these. Let me know how to make this happen.

I'm sure they would take a list of offered items and get back to me on what they need. But if you just want to donate, I'll be happy to pass on their information on where to send it.

I'd suggest the same. Send me a list of the games via email and I'll let you know which ones to send and where.

Ok thanks everyone for the response so far. This is what I have learned.

This is not just for my friend's kid Griffin but for the entire hospital. A lot of the kids get to play the X-Box system they have but it is getting worn down so they would be willing to take whatever you are willing to send.

Gaming system and/or games. They have kids all the way up to the age of 18 so they would probably appreciate the T and M rated games.

I don't have to be the middle man for this.

Please send everything you are willing to donate to

Thank you everyone for your generosity. It humbles me and makes me proud of how the alums show up when kids are in need. You are going to make a LOT of kids very happy and maybe one day we'll get a 5* recruit from this ha ha.

Thanks again for your support! Please feel free to add a personal note of encouragement to lift his spirits!

Contact Sony in San Jose..I'm sure they would donate games or used systems.

I'm sure they get countless requests. If anyone has a friend who works there or can cut through the process that would be appreciated.

I went on Ebay and purchased 30 used x-box games for $35 plus shipping. Small price to pay for his happiness. I hope some of you might feel compelled to do the same.

Does the hospital have a Xbox one or an Xbox 360? the games are not all cross compatible. It would suck for the kids to get a bunch of games that can't be played on the hospital console.

They are X-box 360 according to his mother's email (listed in original post)

Thanks for bumping this up...I totally missed it. I have an Xbox360 and a few games gathering dust since we bought an Xbox One. Hopefully, I can dig up all of the controllers and connections. Assuming I can locate everything to make it run I'll send everything I have.
