If Cal gets by LSU, #1 Baylor awaits

    Go Bears!

Bears getting in is surprising enough, but that seed? Wow! Much respect for the Pac-12, it looks like.

Can't believe we are higher than Oregon.

Wow! I thought they were WNIT-bound for sure. To get a 9 seed is amazing.

Wins against UCLA, Oklahoma and Oregon helped. As did competitive games versus Oregon State and ASU. GO Bears!!!

Definitely. Pretty much had the same RPI as the Men's team but the Men's team didn't have any wins over Top 50 teams IIRC. This is a great opportunity. We play LSU who is not tall and has an RPI just above Oregon, then have an opportunity to play Baylor who has an RPI higher than Oregon State and Stanford. Obviously not easy games but very similar to conference play. If we win those, we most likely play Oklahoma, a team we beat earlier in the year for one of the Final Four spots.

The men had 2 wins over Top 50 teams, USC and Princeton.

I just logged on, and pleasantly surprise making the NCAAs. Way to go Bears!

By the way, one of the teams that didnt make it was Boyles UVA.

How a 17-14 Auburn made it is amazing.
They finished 3-9 in last 12 games, including SEC Tournament play.

Throw the selection criteria out the window with that pick.

Thanks for the correction. I think the cheat sheet I was looking at must have said 0 wins over Top 25 teams instead of Top 50 teams.

Yes, when the brackets the last few days had Auburn in, I was scratching my head too. But then I thought, well if Auburn gets in, then maybe Cal has a chance... But a nine-seed?

procedural bumps probably account for cal being a #9 and/or oregon a #10

I think UVA is the team that got shafted the most by auburn
