I loved the Baldwin interview - he seems sharp and the last part of the interview was great

    Who's wearing Goff's number? Bowers?

EDIT: Collin Moore? We have a walk-on QB?

    One thing is clear:
We won't see a repeat of 2013, when a true freshman QB became a top contender for the QB job in the spring under a first year coach.
However, how many of you think Chase can win the job anyway in fall camp?
Clean slates are great things for true freshmen.
Who amongst the true freshmen do you think can win the job outright?

I think one of the TEs has a chance (Moos?)
Maybe Gabe Cherry (DT) and Kyle Harmon (LB) because of depth issues.
I'd include Elijah Hicks (DB), but we are deep at DB so maybe if there are injuries before the season.
I also think that guy Hawkins (WR) is electric and can contribute right away as a returner.
    T. Johnson (WR) has the same problem as Hicks with the depth at WR, but at least he is here for spring so the coaches can get a sense of what he can do. He could be a factor with Stovall out.

Moos will definitely have a shot especially as a blocking but you can't forget about him TE. Physically probably even as a true frost the closest we have going in

While I'm VERY high on Garbers but I would be very surprised if he could pass up the leader(s) coming out of the spring

Totally agree about Cherry and the LB kid

[ DL coach wears a t-shirt for the official picture.[/QUOTE]

I seriously doubt that was an "official picture". Typically with a new hire, there is a frantic search for any photo, to use immediately for press releases.

I'm confident he can pose for an acceptable "official picture" that will satisfy most everyone........

One advantage Garbers has is that he won't have to unlearn another system first.

Have we gotten rid of the G-D Peyton Manning mural that was an insult to the legacy of quarterback greatness at Cal?
