The Ole Miss players may be falling asleep before game time. Wishful thinking.

Yeah, very few P5 v P5 that day, and obviously Texas @USC gets top billing for 9/16 i.e. 5pm PT national game. Night game @CMS is virtually assured. Other P12 games hardly move the needle.

This guy does his homework in terms of analyzing conference contractual obligations, network preferences, conflicts with pro sports schedule, etc. Plus he provides an explanation for his guesses. Not saying I like the outcome of his guesses, but I would much rather go with his reasoning.

We may be just waking up for that game. Nightmares of Maryland.

So sick of the late games...kills me

Don't think the SEC would like to see a night game on the west coast. Earlier pm game would be more to their liking.

they are the visitors, not the home team. Home conference tv agreement prevails. just like the SDSU game at San Diego last year. It was broadcast by CBS Sports Network because of its contract with Mountain West Conference which is the home conference for that game. Home conference rules prevail.

except it's really what espn wants, they get.

Plus there are 9 SEC home games on the docket for that Saturday. And basically 3 timeslots - noon ET, 3:30p ET, and 7/8 p ET. If ESPN were to slot the Old Miss v California game at any other time slot that 1030ET, they would be likely going up with 3 other concurrent SEC games. (And Texas @ USC). Maybe there's a small chance at a noon kickoff. But an SEC fan might actually enjoy an extra game late instead of competing vs many others.
