    OT: Anyone here juice?

My go to is carrot, apple, cuke, beet, cabbage. What do you use? I'm open to trying new stuff. Too lazy to open a new account at a juicing forum to ask around and then get bombarded by a jillion recommendations. Figured there might be a few juicers here who can chime in.

Is it OK for us to admit here that we juice?

I'd rather not discuss my regimen. Don't want to give away my secrets.

I have a Vitamix blender that I use to make green smoothies. It's an industrial strength blender that turns everything into liquid goodness. I put in whole fruits and veggies, (for example: tons of spinach, an apple, banana, and maybe some kale) and it blends it down in a nicely drinkable smoothie. I used to juice, but figured I was wasting a lot of the food pulp and would rather get all that fiber inside of me as well.

I don't understand the attractiveness of kale. It is awful stuff, ruins just about anything it is matched with. Seriously.

Throw in everything, include the skins (that's where a lot of the nutrients are) but please forego kale. And beets too. Yech!

I agree with smoothies over juicing--The Vitamix is the best, and I was skeptical at first, but I am sold on my Nutra-Bullet --really mininizes the cleanup!

Clam juice, high in tocopherols, pairs with vodka

I store and freeze fruit when they start to over ripen. I vitamix(costco baby!) those regularly too into smoothies. But if I'm in the hankering for beet/carrot/green nutrients, I'll juice them. One kid prefers juices, the other prefers smoothies so I'll alternate. Pulp gets wrapped up into the newspaper sports section and placed into the compost.

Thumbs look a little small. Google 'workouts for huge thumbs'. You're welcome. I used to be a certified thumb trainer.

I like concoctions made of carrot, apple, cuke, beet, ginger, sweet limes, oranges, kale. Sweet potatoes are an interesting option, but you have to let the juice settle before drinking the clear liquid on top.

Lately, I do a vegan protein shake with frozen bananas, almond milk and dates in the morning and a juice of ginger, orange, lemon, apple cider vinegar and cayenne in the afternoon.
