    Intriguing 6'3" Italian Visitor/Recruit for c/o 2018

Valeria Trucco 6'3" visited Cal, Arizona, and Georgia Tech. Sounds like she will decide between those three.

    PN gives her 5 stars

Looks like Georgia Tech has landed a couple other good Italian players in the last couple of years, and Arizona is on a hot streak recruiting. But we'll see what happens! She averaged 7ppg and 4.9rpg for Italy's U17 team last summer.

Good news! By 2018 we'll have only Kristine and Chen at forward and center.

Didn't PN give Chen 5 stars? I doubt they do extensive scouting overseas.

I think their level of scouting depends on their ability to view the player against appropriate competition. I think players that play for their national teams are seen more often. This way they can be compared with the US players either by direct competition or through their common opponents.

Yeah, I would base expectations on her FIBA stats which are solid. Probably not as good as the Austrlian forward Smith at Stanford but sounds like she would contribute.

One could make the case that Stanford Aussie Smith is the top foreign player in the P12. Heck-she might even be the best on the Cardinal. Remember that Penina
Davidson (New Zealand) was a gift from Tara V.
