    Volleyball makes NCAA

For 3rd straight year will play North Carolina in Ames, Iowa (Iowa State). If we win 1st and 2nd round then wlll play @ Haas. Furd is #2 overall seed and is in Berkeley Regional too. 7 Pacc-12 teams make it.

Cal lost to North Carolina last year in the NCAA. Iowa State and IP Fort Wayne are also in Ames.

At 15-15 terrific to be able to get another invite to the NCAA. Playing NC with former Bear Tia Gaffen again.

New Mexico state is also in. Former Bear Lauren Loerch was a transfer to NMS.

    Pay for WVB View?

Iowa State is showing matches this Thursday and Friday, I think they are supposed to by NCAA edict. They may also be charging; it's unclear. Last year I thought an NCAA edict required teams to stream first and second round matches free, but Hawaii charged. Might have ben a marketing deal.

Anyway, North Carolina was probably close to next in line for a seed, came in a close third in the ACC. Probably the best team of the three Cal has faced over the last three years. Cal can win but needs to play well. If so, Iowa State awaits, on a hot streak including a win over Texas last week. To get back home Cal will have to play two good matches in a row; not happened often this year.
