anyone notice Dykes sentiments on the existing Oline talent?
gotta make you wonder why the O-line was under-performing.
culture of failure setting in after so many years of never quite good enough under Tedford. maybe playing for a qb that they felt hadn't under the position. possibly a combination of all the above. whatever it was, I never thought it was Coach M's inability to coach.
Which four games did he watch ... but it doesn't matter because Dykes SEES things that the casual fan does not. How (and why) the OL performed before is really kind of irrelevant. It's a new system and the current OL, including now those who blueshirted, have an opportunity to "fit" which wasn't the case before.
Past performance should not prejudice the anticipation of future results.
On the surface you seem to make perfect sense, but it's well known that no coach sees better than we hear on this forum. That's just a fact. Suggesting otherwise is asking for a wee bit o the trouble.
