The CIF created playoffs in Northern California & Southern California plus approved new player transfer rules. The Open Division has been successful in football where the CCS, for example, has eight teams that elect to participate there-battle it out to represent the section. Now-the winner of the CCS, NCS, North Section & Sac-Joaquin sections will play off to see which team represents Northern California in the state championship games.

If Bishop O'Dowd elects to participate in the girl's open division, then they can play the best in the state instead of being stuck in section III based upon school size. Comments? GO BEARS!
