In contrast to the last staff, not only does every single coach recruit a lot but they all actually like recruiting, even the coordinators. And they're good at it, especially now that they really have something to sell in a great Cal degree, top notch facilities, a high profile league and one of the greatest places to live in the country.
There will be a lot of pleasant surprises coming up in the last six weeks, with a top 20 ranking with a class that was probably headed to the 40's till this month.
I don't expect to see Dykes and staff recruit to a system. They have a uniquely flexible offense and defense that builds around the strengths of their roster rather than trying to mould them into what they want to fit their system.
Going forward, I think it's safe to expect classes averaging in the 3.5 star per player range.

As always, a rational and fact-based assessment, MB.
Having coaches who fully understand the importance of recruiting and academics is a refreshing, long-needed change.
