as others have said in other threads... JT is all-in recruiting wise with this game. Even moreso after the Oregon game. If we want that top 10 class, gotta win this one.

The players need to win and we need to be loud - 09-30-2009, 10:57 AM

All of these top tier players are looking for a successful program with a great gameday atmosphere. We as fans need to shake off the Oregon game and be loud early and often! If we can demonstrate that Cal fans back there team and support them, this will go a long way in convincing these guys to commit.

the Facilities Pitch - 09-30-2009, 11:04 AM

So would these prospects actually get to use the new facilities after construction is completed in what... 2012?

They'll be juniors and seniors by then! I suppose that's good.

by 2011 i thought...? and some will blueshirt, so they will definitely get to enjoy our sahpc

but i agree, this weekend's game is CRUCIAL. after our implosion, we need to show the recruits we're not just all talk. having good connections with tosh is good, but at the end of the day these kids are still looking for a successful program

you bet big, you win big

Could the stakes be much higher.

I'm not MB, but from all accounts, Seastrunk likes LSU. Auburn is a player as is USC. It seems Texas and Oklahoma are definitely out, though they show up on the Rivals offer list. I don't know the Oklahoma situation, but Texas is not actively recruiting Seastrunk for two reason, one of which was Seastrunk not showing up for a scheduled visit without notifying the staff.

That coupled with the circus elements involved in his recruitment caused Texas to shy away. With that said, who ever gets this kid is going to get a helluva player with a certain amount of ego.

I am sorry I do not know more regarding Seastrunk and Cal. I came across this speaking to a friend who is on Baylor's coaching staff and then saw the article on Rivals.

He may very well be worth the headache; he is a very talented football player.
