Worst "analysis" I've ever seen. Cal is a lock to get in, win or lose. Pathetic on CBS's part.

CBS is such a joke on this issue. I am getting real tired of all this Pac 10 bashing. Down year? yes. One team? Give me a break.

I hope I don't get the chance to prove these idiots wrong, but if Cal doesn't win this game, I'm going to make a minor career of going to their websites and laughing at them for how totally wrong they got Cal wrong this year.

well, it's obvious that a 19-14 5th place big ten team like Illinois should go to the tournament over a Cal team that won the pac-10 title by 2 games and has an rpi of 19.

I don't know what our legal options are, but if by some bizarre chance, we DON'T make the NCAA, I think the PAC 10 and Cal in particular should look at taking legal action against the NCAA.

Cal being left out would be UNPRECEDENTED. Didn't we get hosed enough in football in 2004 by the NCAA?

Don't take anything they say about the Pac-10 seriously. They have zero idea of what they're talking about, unless the topic is Tim Tebow or Nick Saban.

I hear you. I'm sure I'm overreacting, but I'm SO sick of this crap.

CBS earlier said that both should be in and were playing for the tournament championship, now they're saying something totally contradictory. What a joke.

BTW, Cal football didn't get hosed by the NCAA in 2004, it was the BCS coalition.

calSB,

Forgive my ignorance, but does the NCAA have nothing to do with the bowl coalition?

How can that be?

Not much, other than giving the bowls a license to operate. The reason Cal was left out in 2004 was the ranking formula, which was determined by the poll voters--coaches and AP writers--and the computer rankings which are run by independent people.
