Greatest Living Cal Bears - 05-14-2013, 12:46 PM

Whenever we lose one of our all-time greats it makes me feel like we don't do enough to acknowledge our living Bears before the are gone.

I think we need to list our favorite living Cal Bears.

I'll Start:

Matt Biondi - Swimming
Russell White - Football
Kirk Everist - Water Polo
Jocelyn Forest - Softball
Darrall Imhoff - Basketball
Kevin Johnson - Basketball
Joe Kapp - Football
Mary T Meagher - Swimming
Natalie Coughlin - Swimming
Sean Lampley - Basketball
Jason Kidd - Basketball
Aaron Rodgers - Football

Please add on or refine.

You forgot Tony Gonzales and Jeff Kent, both of whom just may go down as the greatest at his position.

Did you guys forget that I am alive? I am a living survivor of the 2001 1 and 10 season.

Ed White deserves some consideration. College All American. College Football HOF, four Super Bowl appearances, All-Pro numerous times- should be in NFL HOF.

Wow, Steve Levy. His name did come to mind but, I didn't go there. Nice call.

LOL
I actually meant Marv Levy now that you mention it, but now I'm not sure if either he or Ralston are still alive. I already had to edit out Bill Walsh.

Ron Rivera, heckuva LB.

I'm not sure I'd put Marv Levy on the list. Although he may have had questionable success elsewhere, as a student, I suffered through his years at Cal. His favorite play was the quick kick on third down. Doesn't say much about his confidence in his team.
