.. according to roadrunners there's gonna be some sort of a tracker link available closer to gametime, info garnered indirectly from Calbears' game pitch. Calbears watch word: "LiveStats"

Save us Bakersfield, you're our last hope: #throwback Star Wars wish

PS: Bakersfield also embraced a Gold Standard, a familiar phrase locally as well:

deport terrorist threat Jesus, homeland security confirmed illegal alien.

5 minutes into the second half ESPN shows us up 62-29. In the stats we're killing them in every category. The only worry is Talia has almost no stats so far.

Why Did We Play in Bakersfield. Anyway? - 12-08-2012, 06:38 PM

Anyone know why we played this game at Bakersfield instead of Haas? Teams like this usually come to your place with no home-and-home expectation. Are we recruiting someone from there? Had to check the schedule a couple times when it first came out and it showed this game on the road. Weird. Seemd like it would have been a nice time to have a home game sandwiched between Duke and Northwestern trips rather than a 4 hour bus ride each way.

Cannot imagine it was not a recruiting strategy. Surprised if not.

I suspect we were recruiting Erica McCall, who unfortunately chose Stanford.

Can't think of any current targets in Bakersfield, but of course Erica McCall's dad is the CSUB coach so perhaps we were trying to gain favor with them when it was scheduled.

Great to see Gen coming along offensively. 14 ppg at a respectable 53% has to be considered a breakout year for her (she had 7.2 and 8.9 her first two seasons).
