Actually, he is the the Passing leader but if you take the Total QB rating, (QBR), which incorporates everything he's involved in, he is #5, behind Manning, Kapernick, Brady, and Ryan. Though Kap really has only played 5 games so that is somewhat skewed. of course, QBR is an ESPN concept so who knows.

Yes it does but I don't make up the stats, just use what they give me. I think they are lousy for any given game or guys who play less time. QBR tends to even out over many starts. I agree they still need to fine tune it because it is more hype for ratings and stuff then anything else. Passer rating still correlates more highly with wins then QBR for sure...
According to the World Almanac, Rodgers is the number one rated, based on QB ratings of all time, based on his six season up to the end of last year.
Go Bears!

Guess you didn't read my 2nd post where I wrote that the passing leader stats still are better at predicting winners.

But then again, Favre, who is 3 years younger than Aikman, had 508 TDs.
(I'm not saying that Aikman sucks -- he did win 3 Super Bowls, after all. And there's more to being a QB than throwing TDs. But Aikman had only 1 season with more than 19 TDs. Rodgers has had 80 in the past 2 seasons.)

Aikman played for a team that went run-heavy (and why wouldn't they, since they had Emmitt Smith?) so his counting numbers aren't going to be great. On the other hand, it's also fair to say that he wasn't leaned on to be "The Man" as much as Aaron Rodgers is on the Packers -- Smith carried the load for those great Cowboy teams and was the clear top dog.
