after Cal challenged the ruling on an incomplete pass from Goff to Lawler on 3rd-and-3 on a play that would have given them the first down, the Bears' sideline protestations led to an unsportsmanlike penalty call, leaving the Bears with a 4th-and-19 on their 21-yard line. A lower-than-normal punt by Leininger gave Ducks PR Nelson plenty of room to run; a couple of missed tackles along with some nice cuts to the inside resulted in a touchdown.
14 7 Enwere 19-yard run, 7:10
6 plays, 75 yards, 1:39
Cal responded right away with a quick score of their own. On and 2nd-and-5 from the Oregon 19, Enwere ran off of the left side, behind blocks from Crosthwaite and Lasco, and bounced off an attempted tackle from Oregon S Daniels.

Oregon had a short drive following a Goff fumble, when he was hit while attempting to get off a pass. The Ducks big play was a 13-yard scramble by Mariota on 1st-and-10 from the Cal 38. The Bears put good pressure on him as he stepped back to pass, but he ran a few steps to his left and saw a big hole in front of him.

5 plays, 48 yards, 1:33

After Cal challenged the ruling on an incomplete pass from Goff to Lawler on 3rd-and-3 on a play that would have given them the first down, the Bears' sideline protestations led to an unsportsmanlike penalty call, leaving the Bears with a 4th-and-19 on their 21-yard line. THIRD QUARTER
28 45 Mariota 54-yard pass to Marshall, 13:25
4 plays, 75 yards, 1:35
This was a horror sequence for the Cal defense. On a 3rd-and-22 from the Oregon 46, WR Marshall ran up the right sideline, found a large hole in the Cal zone where he was able to easily catch Mariota's pass and score an easy touchdown. On a 1st-and-10 from the Cal 25, Oregon had two receivers lined up to the right side. One receiver ran a short pattern to the inside where he was followed by two Cal defenders, leaving the other receiver all alone. Marshall caught a short pass and ran for a 32-yard gain.

Oregon's offense took advantage of a tiring Cal defense with a long (by Duck standards) drive where runs prominently featured. Key plays were a 14-yard run by RB Nelson on 1st-and-10 from the Oregon 30 and a 12-yard scramble by Mariota that had a 15-yard personal foul penalty tacked on for a late hit out of bounds.

Cal had two big plays; a 30-yard run from Lasco on a 1st-and-10 from the Cal 35, and a 16-yard completion from Goff to Powe on a 3rd-and-6 from the Oregon 31. Rubenzer was quarterback for four plays during which the Bears gained 46 yards.

FOURTH QUARTER
35 59 Mariota 20-yard pass to Brown, 8:58
1 play, 21 yards, 0:07
After being forced to punt, Oregon punted the ball to Cal's PR Treggs. Treggs had to run to make the catch but didn't have possession of it before he was tackled. He fumbled the ball and it was subsequently recovered by Oregon. On the ensuing play, TE Brown ran a simple post pattern and Mariota found him in stride for his fifth touchdown pass of the game.
41 59 Rubenzer 2-yard run, 4:21
11 plays, 75 yards, 4:37
Cal overcame a holding call and a false start to drive the length of the field. Key plays were a 14-yard run by Enwere on 3rd-and-1 from the Oregon 48 and an 11-yard pass from Goff-to-Anderson on 4th-and-10. With a 1st and goal from the Duck 2, Rubenzer faked a handoff to Lasco and ran through the line for his second touchdown of the game.
