2015 Pac-12 football opponents
One of the difficulties in gauging the relative strength of Pac-12 teams is that for the most part, everybody's played different non-conference opponents.  Some have played more competitive teams and some haven't.

Now that teams have entered conference play, this will change.

For the sake of comparing individual and team statistics, this makes things challenging.  The sample size is still small enough that one or two big plays can skew averages. Also, players might have impressive numbers by virtue of the fact that they were left into pad stats against hapless opposition.

If defenses had two soft teams to start the season, their team statistics are bound to be better than a team that faced a top 25 team, but that doesn't necessarily make them a better team.

Using the team ratings from USA Today's Jeff Sagarin, here's a chart showing what the rankings of each team's opponents are.

 Among the items worth noting:

Two teams have played two top 25 teams so far - Arizona State and Oregon State.

Four other teams have played two top 50 teams - Oregon, Stanford, Utah, and Washington.

Two teams haven't played anybody in the top 80 - Colorado and Washington State.

Considering Arizona's very soft early schedule, it's surprising that they were ranked going into the UCLA game.
