Martinez made the trip fresh off a 41-28 victory over rival Clovis Friday night in the CIF playoffs. The talented QB has led his team to an 8-3 record so far this season and will lead the Golden Eagles into a showdown with Central-Fresno High School next weekend.

So far this season, the dual threat QB is 202-for-334 2323 yards and 23 touchdowns with four interceptions through the air as well as 1288 yards and 14 more touchdowns on the ground, with an impressive 7.9 ypc.

"I would like to announce my commitment to the University of California, Berkeley," said Martinez in his announcement tweet.

"This would not have been possible without the support of my family and friends. God has blessed me with this opportunity and I'm proud to be a Cal Bear!"

The Bears beat out Miami, Missouri, Colorado, Utah, Washington State and more for Martinez' services.
