Just two and a half months from the kickoff of the 2012 season, California Memorial Stadium continues to come together, with the 89 year old stadium rapidly nearing game-ready condition.
The gleaming, restored facade of the venerable stadium is a major improvement over the dingy exterior seen for the past several decades as the stadium aged.
An estimated 2/3 of the stadium's seating has been installed and the field is a week or two away from being installed as drainage is completed.
The cramped hike uphill from Piedmont has been replaced with a spacious courtyard that flows into the stadium and greatly enlarged interior concourse.
