Within a month’s time, senior Tarah Murrey will wrap up one of the most storied careers in the history of Cal volleyball. In her four years as a Golden Bear, the 6’3 outside hitter has garnered numerous awards and distinctions, including All Pac-10, All Pac-10 Academic (HM), and First Team All-American. In that time, the Bears won their first Pac-10 title, played for the National Championship, and earned the first Number One ranking in program’s history.
But it’s a career that almost did not happen. At least not at Cal.
