Cal offense is more grounded this year

Even with the dynamic Patrick Laird in the backfield, Cal did not have a great much of a running game the last couple of years. Last season the Bears managed a mediocre 157.6 yards per game on the ground, which was up a bit from 2017 when the number was just 125.6.

Things seem to be looking up this year. Granted one game is an extremely small sample size, but the Bears have the makings of one of the better rushing games around.
