I think Aimak is rushing shots because he has had many blocked.

Spot on Rod. On that last play let me do a little bit of (cheating) second guessing. This is ultimate cheating because I even used replay. Brooks was guarding Celestine but was playing him "open to the ball" to possibly give help on Tyson. When he cheated over to help, it caused Tyson to kill his dribble. At that point Brooks probably should have stepped back towards Celestine because now Tyson's ability to score was more difficult, if he wanted to shoot it was going to be flat footed.

The split second hesitation for Brooks to get back to Celestine appeared to seal the deal on JC's shot. Again, my second guessing is very easy to do. But to your point Rod, without the obvious talent that Tyson has, Brooks would not be coming over on him help as close as he did. From a Cal fan's standpoint, it was a thing of beauty.

this is the best basketball content on any fan site I've seen. A former high D1 and pro player, who played at Cal + the entertaining way it's being presented. Can't get better than that.

I've been singing Tyson's praise all year, even when we were losing. He is the best player since Abdur Rahim (talent-wise, Jaylen Brown was better, but not as effective as a freshmen).

I saw us play a little zone, but it looked odd ... again maybe a 1-3-1, or maybe a 3-2 but not sure.

Also gotta spread the love to Keonte. I love this bro's swagger, and he's an all-conference defender.

if it was anyone but Keonte running step by step with the WA guard on the last play of the game, I think he scores.

Even then I was afraid of a whistle being blown.

He changed directions twice and ran into traffic. He might have had his shot partially blocked, but there was no contact (even the player knew it)

But yeah, never want to put the game in the hands of the refs. See UCLA foul call on Bona that lost us the game
