According to Pete Thamel, Ott and McCulloch will not play today. Perhaps I should stay in this bar by PNC and drink instead of making my way over to the stadium.

No way the Clemson game will be over at 12:30.. probably looking at 12:40 kick off on the espn app. I dont think they are rolling over to espn news anymore, but we will see.

To some extent, Ott has defied expectation by sticking around this dodgy program and being impressively rah-rah Cal. But Ott redshirting (implying an intention to stick around another year) would be a bit much, especially for a talented RB.oskidunker said:

He has already said it's his last year here…which it should be. No reason for him to redshirt.

He has another year of eligibility after this anyway. The only reason to redshirt is if he thinks he is being misused and it will hurt his value or get him further injured.

Ive been a huge fan since we landed him and I saw his tape. Hopefully we don't see any predictable runs up the middle on first down.
Makes sense. His freshmen and soph tape along with a clear medical exam is enough to get him drafted. RBs have such a short shelf life.alarsuel said:

Absolutely this! I don't know the young man, but I'd absolutely advise him to go pro instead of playing another year or two in college. He can always come back to finish up his degree later.
He may need to get a payday, and transfer to a AAA level team with breathing offensive line to show what he can do, and avoid a low round selection.

Well he hasn't really played much this year. I could see a world where he does come back to drop another big season.
Id prefer he get healthy, we win 9 games, and he gets drafted in the 2nd... But we don't always get to choose
