I usually don't read CGG mainly because their comments are so unweildy -- right now: 678 comments stacked on top of each other -- unlike this site.

By the way, why would anyone think that Tedford cut a deal with Keenan that ensures his brother would be the starting QB? RIDICULOUS!

sabotage? At this point, it's the most logical conclusion.

Pretty harsh words. What the hell did they do to you?
As a proud alumnus of the Pacesetter of College Marching Bands I am happy to put you on my ignore list.

The blog was created by band geeks for christ sake. Their community is filled with educated Cal alumns who don't know shiiit about football. The mods loaf around with a tinge of self-righteousness, proabably due to busting a wad over the rather vain opportunity to cover their alma mater. These guys probably spent much of their four-plus years at Cal not getting laid and facing mounds and mounds of rejection from the opposite sex.

It was impossible to have a rational conversation about Tedford or their QB situation until this year.

I know, how could they not be rational with you when greeted with pleasant words like these?

In high school I was a band geek. I also played football, and played several years of rugby after playing in college. I get as much fun and info reading the blog as I do reading Insider. There are stupid comments on the blog, and there are stupid comments here. On occasion I find some pretty wise and compelling statements on the blog, and here as well. That's what discussion is all about. I don't give a flying fish if a blog is started by band geeks, or a bunch of wannbe athletes.....none of us are on that field, and none of us are coaching a college football team. So I see these forums as entertainment, and nothing particularly important in the overall destiny of the program. They are for us to give opinions, and debate....nothing more. And by the way, the Cal Band is showing more speed, better game planning, and better execution than the football team....nice job by the "band geeks". Geez, I am so ready for rugby season..........
