He said Cal being at #2 in the Pac 12 Power Rankings was a joke. He's a douche, but that is a little high at this point.

After what happened last week, there's no favorite to win the conference anymore. Who knows at this point who is #1 or #2. It might very well be Cal.

Sounds like his beef is with David Lombardi of ESPN's Pac 12 blog. I'm sure this was all planned out at their last mutual visit to the office water cooler.

Sheesh...get over it. The only reason for staying under the radar would be because the Bears weren't very good. If you want a good team then you need to accept being favored in games...can't be under the radar and good at the same time. GO BEARS!

All but Cal were under the radar for years before anyone figured out that those programs were actually better than the majority of the SEC. You can be good and under the radar. okaydo is 100% spot-on. When the bright lights shine on the Bears, uh... well... we.. I don't know... suck?

And to get back on track, the Pac 12 power rankings that were reference here ARE a total joke. But everyone knows that, even the incensed OP.

Disagree. Unless you can figure out how to win the Pac-12 and still be under the radar without any bright lights shining on you, I don't know how you're gonna do it. Face it, Cal is either gonna be good or gonna be in the shadows -- and if they're gonna be good they're also gonna be in the bright lights.

I don't see any way a team from a major conference, let alone one from a Power 5 conference, is going to win championships and still be 'under the radar'. If you wanna win, get used to being in the bright lights; if winning isn't important, then you're welcome to stay in the shadows...I choose the bright lights.
