Hello there, just moved to NYC - few questions:

1) Is there a bar or football viewing event for Cal vs Hawaii in NYC?
2) What is the exact time of the game in ET?
3) Are there general Cal alum groups, events, that I can join for NYC? Is there a website?

Thanks.

The New York Cal alum group usually has something going at a bar. Look them up. I usually watch in my Jersey basement on the 70 inch.

Gametime is Friday, 10pm EST

Welcome to NYC! There's a very active alumni club - CACNY www.calnewyork.org
Three official alumni bars: The Australian (serendipitous, huh?), Berkli Parc, and in Brooklyn - The Pacific Standard.

Berkli Parc is downtown and the owner Mark is an alum. It's a cozy cafe with awesome food, beer and wine. It's smaller but Mark sets up tv's and has his staff wear Cal t-shirts on game day.

The Australian is a large sports bar with very good Aussie pub food. They set aside a large portion of their establishment for Cal games. I'd suggest you make a reservation for game viewing. Socaliganbear, beeasyed and I shall be there viewing the Hawaii game together. Stop by and say hello if you end up here.

Pacific Standard in Brooklyn is great if you're out there. The owners John and John are both alums and have decorated the back portion of the bar into a library with Cal and Nor Cal memorabilia. Feels like home away from home.

The game is on Friday, August 26 at 10:00 pm EST.
