According to Bleacher Report, Chris Brown, a running back from Oceanside, Ca. just committed to the BEARS!
This is awesome. With Adams and Brown, we would seem to be set at RB this year.I Bear said:

Rugged running back Chris Brown, who had a frustrating season after a great 2016 campaign, came up big when his El Camino teammates needed him most.
Brown ran for a pair of touchdowns, then handled the ball on 11 of 12 plays at the end of the game as the Wildcats killed the clock and beat Eastlake 20-10 late Friday night to claim the San Diego Section Division I football championship before 7,125 fans at Southwestern College.
"I love this atmosphere," Brown said. "It was hard, but you've got to get through it. I love these guys."
On his first carry from scrimmage, Brown took a handoff, cut right, broke a tackle and sprinted 50 yards for a score to give the Wildcats the early 7-0 lead. Just before the half, Brown bulled his way into the end zone from 16 yards out to give El Camino a 20-3 lead. With the game in the balance with 5:24 to play, he took 11 handoffs and gained 48 yards as every second of the 5:24 ticked away.
Brown finished with 19 carries for 138 yards.recovery to forge a 20-3 halftime lead.
El Camino last won a section title in 1999.
How do the two backs compare, in terms of skill sets?calbear93 said:This is awesome. With Adams and Brown, we would seem to be set at RB this year.I Bear said:

Two RB commits so proximate to each other. Possibly coincidental, if not, curious on how the dynamics of that played out. Domino effect from the Kazmir to Ucla?Big C said:How do the two backs compare, in terms of skill sets?calbear93 said:This is awesome. Brown would seem like more of the big bruiser type of running back between the two.Big C said:How do the two backs compare, in terms of skill sets?calbear93 said:This is awesome. With Adams and Brown, we would seem to be set at RB this year.I Bear said:

Based on our commitment list so far, it looks like those two positions have been areas of focus.bonsallbear said:
So now we have a big back to go along with an average size back? Cal is now stacked at RB. LET'S get back to the D and O lines plus a tight end.
How many slots do we have left?MoragaBear said:
Outside of a couple players, the front 7's the main focus now.

If Wilcox can finish up with the McDonald kid at TE, this class is a B, maybe a B+

They have us second in the PAC-12 behind Oregon. Nice!Bear8 said:

Average star is nice, but we need depth, especially on the lines.Cal89 said:
Average stars, we look to be 7th in the conference at the moment. Again though, comfortably above a 3-star average, with what, only 4 or 5 more to complete the class?
The Ducks with 16 4* recruits?! Insane, twice as much as the next (Trojans).
Also, per Rivals, Brown was the 50th rated recruit in California and the #1 ranked California RB.Bear8 said:
