Also, if Baker Mayfieldl and Sam Bradford both start at the same time, then Oklahoma would have two Heisman-winning QBs starting in the NFL.

Webb's nickname is "dragon"? Anyway this article describes his growing close relationship with the NYG's receivers, particularly Odell Beckham Jr. Still looking good for his starting for the Giants soon.

Wonder if the Giants waited this long to waive Webb because they want to make it difficult for him to sign with another team. If they had waived him 3 weeks ago, he'd have had opportunities to find another team for this season.

I'll probably be criticized for this, but I got to say it.

I wonder if Webb rubbed people the wrong way.

At Cal, there were constant media reports about how hard he works. How he comes in very early and stays late.

This SI profile discussed his workaholic ways -- he had 25 binders, each filled with 200 pages of information.

On one hand, it's great that he's such a workaholic. But I'm assuming that to be a pro, a lot of work has to be done. It kind of got annoying (at least to me) that he's workaholism was touted constantly....It probably is just me, but it reminded me of people who were really good at touting themselves -- better than actually doing the work.

After watching the porous Giants O line yesterday, maybe Davis Webb is feeling a little better about getting cut!

the Jets now have Darnold starting and 39yo Josh McCown as his backup. Darnold is a bit overrated like most SC QBs are. Webb will have an opportunity to get some snaps later this season...
