NC A&T has knocked off FBS teams for the past three years. I remember when they were a cupcake back in the 2000s. Their rise has been a surprise to me (but I don't follow non-FBS, so what do I know).

To the OP: I rather win 7-3 than lose 56-55 any day!

It is as if everyone forgot that quality of play is not set or stagnant for the entire year, teams and players improve and regress as the season progresses. Sometimes units or players have a bad game, or a bad matchup, or a key player is missing. I'm not saying Cal's offense is going to set the world on fire, but I liked what I say in the second half (minus the turnovers). I think there is some potential there, and there is room for improving up to 'average' levels.
