Cal Football - TV Viewership

I'll keep this post updated throughout the season for those curious about TV ratings

We started Week One against UNC with 0.9M viewers for a 4pm/1pm start on Fox. That was the 16th most watched game of the weekend with ND/Mich predictably at the top with 7m viewers. Our game was just shy of Georgia/Austin Peay and UCLA/Cincinnati and just above Furd/Cal St. San Diego.

I can't tell ya how those numbers compare with last yeat's game since that game was on a regional network and the site I use for numbers only includes the networks, the ESPN and Fox channels...no pac-12 network, ACC Network, etc.

Week 2 in the books. And Cal/BYU attracted 0.6M viewers which was, again, the 16th most watched football game.

Clemson / ATM was first with 4.6M viewers.

Other P12 games:

#5. Oklahoma/UCLA with 2.9M viewers
#6. Arizona/ Houston and USF/GA Tech (split geography) with 2.5M viewers
#8. Michigan State / ASU with 2.3M viewers
#9. USC/Stanford with 2.3M viewers

USC/Furd is close to as good as it gets ratings-wise for a conference game (with UW maybe pulling sightly higher) but it still lagged P12 games with other teams. Unlike inter-conference ratings winners in the SEC and Big 10, the Pac-12 gets its biggest number of eyeballs in non-conference games. That's certainly been the case for us.
