I am not sure about the points but I agree with the sentiment. I think the staff is not going to play for what would normally be a handily won game. We will try different players and looks. We will not open up the play book. We will insist that the team beat this Idaho State team "straight up." Effort and execution will be the game plan. As a lesson and as a test. Its kind of sadistic but I get that vibe from the staff. You get no youngster passes. No exuberant free for all moments. Its always discipline, always a test. I'm not sure I dig that but a part of me believes its probably the only way to get better.

I don't expect a blow out. If we do that will be great. Instead I expect a seemingly tough game that we win.

Weber State last year made it to the FCS quarterfinals and lost by a field goal as time expired to James Madison who went on to the FCS championship game, Idaho State on the other hand went 4-7 last year and lost 35-7 to Weber State.

So we should score 70.

This needs to be a statement game. We need to leave no doubt that we are the better team, even with 2nd and 3rd stringers in.

We need to not be Stanfurd -transfer Scott Frost's team, which lost to Troy at home in front of a packed house in perfect weather. Instead, we need to be Georgia - cruising to a never-in-doubt 49-7 win over Middle Tennessee State. But not in Georgia colors. Red and white would be dead wrong for Cal. And with an angry looking Bear - not a cute, fluffy Bulldog.

Now I would say less than 28; this offense looks very inept
