If you ever get down on this team just watch this kids YouTube interviews. Not only is he a stud but a heck of a leader. Great for the program. Hope he does well at the next level.

Both Kunasyk and Weaver are having phenomenal seasons and exceeding expectations for sure. I caught this blurb from PFF about the 10 highest rated defensive players in the conference (and they grade every player, every play to sell to NFL teams) and both JK and EW were on that list:

1. Nate Landman - CU
2. Ben Birr-Kirven - UW
2. Justin Hollins -UO
4. Evan Weaver
"The third linebacker in the top four, linebacker play has been prevalent over the first six weeks of Pac-12 action. Weaver sits tied just behind Landman with a 12.6% run-stop percentage, bringing in 20 stops in run defense on his 159 run-defense snaps and conference-leading 90.8 run-defense grade."

5. John Pen!$!ni - UU
6. Taylor Rapp - UW
7. Cameron Smith - USC
8. Jordan Kunasyk
"2018 season grade: 84.2
Kunaszyk is the second Cal linebacker on this list and fifth-highest graded linebacker in the conference through six weeks. He currently holds the league's second-highest pass-rush grade among linebackers as he's recorded nine pressures on just 22 blitzes this season."
9. Troy Dye - UO
10. Mustafa Johnson - CU

[Edit: Poor John Pen!$ini...can't even spell his actual last name without being censored. ]

As usual, I saw this thread title and assumed Jordan K was injured. Whew!

Love the way he and Weaver play. We really miss Goode on the outside.

Any predictions on draft round and team? Green Bay may need some linebackers

They mentioned his size and stats at the game yesterday and if true he will be drafted in rounds 4-6.

What size/stats did they mention for him? I can't figure out why he isn't considered more of an NFL prospect: Size seems pretty good, speed seems decent, made plays like crazy last year, great attitude and character. I'm guessing his size and, especially, his 40 time are not impressive by NFL standards?

I'd think JK would be a solid NFL prospect. I was surprised when he didn't get invited to the Combine.

Good. Kid was a stud and high character. Is it bold to compare him to Rivera? My other favorite #59. Wonder if he chose that jersey for a reason?

... which was cool, because, at the time, they used to sell t-shirts/jerseys with #80 on them...also my graduating class!

Also, the son of a regular poster here wore 80 at Cal - Eli Thompson.

On a related note - when is Cal's pro-day? Are they going to have one? Have they already had it?

Great. I recall quite a few bears made coin that day. I think Boller avoided throwing at combine but threw at pro day. Who else is going to be there?
