ok, lets say for argument sake that the game IS on.

We were planning to tailgate and grill carne asada on campus (propane bbq). Is grilling allowed with spare the air rules? Will someone be enforcing a no fire/grilling rule? who would shut is down --UCPD? Are we risking having a whole lot of raw meat spoiled?

Anyone with insight please advise.

Ask the campus fire marshal. Literally look up their number and call them up. I've done it in the past for tailgating questions.

I have never heard of a ban on gas grilling. Even the BBQ Becky episode involved her claim that there was illegal charcoal grilling in an area that allowed only gas grilling. Spare the Air days address wood burning, not gas stoves.

But if you get it on good authority that there will be a ban on gas grilling, please let us know since we also intend to grill at our tailgate.
