I am SO FRICKIN' PROUD (and shocked) of the University. This was the right thing to do!
I'm glad they announced the rescheduled time immediately.

Don't like that noon start time though. Ken - you're gojng to have to go dorm to dorm to wake those kids up and get their asses to the stadium

So we have a do over of Big Game week festivities. Is that so bad?
I know there will be some valid concerns about finals, but this is really the best decision. Go Bears!

I'm not. This totally ignores current predictions for clearing air conditions tomorrow afternoon. This is a real wimp job by the University. But I do like the noon start time; much better than 4:30pm.TheFiatLux said:

I would have supported waiting till tomorrow to make the call, but maybe this is throwing a bone to those, unlike myself, who were flying in for the game. Those folks still probably have to eat hotel costs, but it's still better than flying up here and no game.Golden One said:

The only thing missing from this scenario: The game HAD to be played tomorrow for Cal to have a shot at going to the Rose Bowl.

My God, that would have been such a Cal way to miss the Rose Bowl. Almost, *almost* grateful the WSU loss saved us the heartbreak.
Patience is a virtue, but I’m not into virtue signaling these days.
On the plus side: the University was decisive. Didn't wimp out and hope for the best until the last possible minute. Attendance will probably be as good on 12/1 as it would have been under the best conditions tomorrow (and definitely better than it would have been if they held the game).
On the other hand: Stanford getting healthy benefits them - they're more banged up than we are right now.
And more chance of rain on 12/1.
