I like burritos. Actually, I love burritos.

I like the really large burritos. I usually prefer them long and thick. The girth of a burrito really adds to the satisfaction, if it's thick enough. I like the burritos that are firm - the ones that won't just go limp if you put it sideways.

I don't really care for the wrap...ive tried ones with the white wrap, red wrap, yellow wrap. Black wrap. Don't care. It's all the same to me.

The juicy burritos are the best. You know what I'm talking about...the ones that you bite into and juices just flow into your mouth.

Yummy.

So you're a size queen that hates the wrapper? Okay, gotcha. Thanks for clarifying.
And juicy - don't forget juicy.

For janky1, juicy is a given... and I don't blame him one bit.

As long as we all agree Northern California burritos are better than Southern California burritos... and by extension all other burritos. I can't imagine anyone on any of these boards disagreeing with that non-controversial statement.
I'm a Northern California guy all the way (I even hate the term NorCal!) but I'm with Southern California on burritos. Beans and Rice are just filler. I can live with beans but rice is a deal breaker. One area where I really differ with my Southern California brothers and sisters is on refried beans vs whole beans. I have never been a fan of refried beans.

La Burrita on Durant had a no-bean and no-rice burrito called a Fajita Burrito (either steak or chicken).
It is GREAT. I don't really like rice in my burrito. And have developed gout over the past 5 years and can no longer eat beans (or any legumes) or shell fish or any meat from internal organs (sausage or chorizo).
So that really limits my burrito options.
The fajita burrito satisfies my cravings for a burrito without triggering my gout.

I know it is "clever" and "cute" for many people to criticize the French in the manner you have. But it is chauvinist for Americans to do so

Lest we forget. The French army held back the German Army in the Battle of Verdun when it suffered more than 377,000 casualties (in just one battle)

We should remember that the 377,000+ casualties is approximately half of all the casualties in the entire 4 year American Civil War.

Yes in WW2 it was quickly overwhelmed by the German Blitzkrieg(sp?)
But the Germans overwhelmed every other European country it faced except England (thanks to the fact it was an island) and Russia (thanks to one of the coldest Winters in a Russian history).
(In fact the Nazis probably would have defeated England and Russia if Herr Hitler had not interfered with and changed the Nazi Strategic plans several time. Delaying the attack on the English army at Dunkirk and delaying The Nazi attack on key strategic objectives in Russia.)

American in conjunction with its allies was able to conquer the Nazis only after they had overextended themselves.

There's a saying, France's second great love is WAR. Also French colonialism in Africa was absolutely brutal and repressive. The whole cheese-eating surrender monkey trope ignores much of French history. In WWII they had the unfortunate situation of sharing a border with a revenge minded Germany.

The French and blonds are pretty much the only two groups left that it's generally considered okay to tell jokes about. Can't speak for blonds, but the French and us francophiles START to get riled up when we hear that kind of stuff, but then we realized that it's actually a compliment that the French can still be picked on in our politically correct world.

Godwin's Law was arguably the first good thing to come from the internet. The first thing to happen on the internet was an argument that resulted in a Hitler comparison (i.e. "whoever made these lousy modems is worse than Hitler"). The second thing was Godwin's Law. The third thing was porn. Everything since is derivative.

Frankly I'm happy there's differences between NorCal and SoCal Mexican food because IT'S ALL GOOD and plenty and it's not that different really. Definitely like Mission burritos but tacos rule in SoCal, especially Baja Fish Tacos, which I won't even bother with up here ($5+ and tiny). SoCal still has many good mom and pop places where you can eat like a king for not much. SF and Berkeley not so much...Oakland doing okay here. And the gap has closed because you can now get good tacos/burritos on I-5 going between the two places. The rivalry stuff is fun and goofy but really, no complaints except I can no longer drop a 2,000 calories Mission burrito at 12 midnight. Now it's a couple of tacos before 8 p.m. YMMV.
I made the mistake of ordering "fish tacos" at a seafood restaurant in Santa Cruz a while back. Never again. Will only enjoy the real thing in the southland.

The population of the U.S. at the time WWII took place was about 3.5X of the populaion of the North & South during the War of Northern Aggression (Southern term for the war they lost).

The Civil War (Northern term for the war they won) saw about 740,000 deaths & 1,500,000 casualties (updated newer estimates).

At the "rate" of Civil War deaths, the U.S. would have suffered 2,590,000 deaths in WWII and 5,250,000 casualties.
