Is Texas **** QB Rising, who is 6'-3" and 220, thinking about transferring to Cal? After all, he is a California boy and probably has at least 3 years of eligibility!

Interesting choice given Whittingham is a hardline defense guy, to the point he holds back the offense. Who is the OC now? If Cal is pulling in defensive transfers because the pontential to get coached up, sorta makes sense an offense guy would do similar, get some coaching, a chance to show his stuff.

Former Cal OC, Andy Ludwig.....

Recruits are too young to remember how truly bad he was/is. Unfortunately, our guy is in the prime of his career and is known to all.

So many places for the buck to be passed in CFB.

Ludwig did coach under Whittingham @ Utah during the 2008 undefeated 'national championship' year. So CKW absolutely knows what he's getting. If you are a defensive first coach, maybe you don't want the most innovative fast paced offense.

The irony there is that 2008 Utah team was a total fast pace spread from a schematic identity standpoint.
