Yeah some of the names above him are wack, but still nice to see Chase start to get some national love. Would have been hard to imagine at the end of 2018. Really looking forward to seeing what he can do with a full healthy season. Fingers very crossed.

This is the beauty of college sports-so many athletes develop, evolve, and just generally get better.
This is also why posters opinions of players have no value except for them to hear themselves.

"hard to imagine" ?? Not for some of us. I have been in his camp from Day One. Even when things didn't look great for him, it was still obvious he has the traits of a successful QB. All it took was patience.

Maybe my memory is just fuzzy. I'll have to find those posts showing the unflagging confidence in him after the Cheez-It Bowl . . .

Actually that was unduly snarky. Sorry. I know you've been a vocal fan since the get go (as have I in a more general sense. I try very hard to support all the players and believe criticism should be reserved for the adult coaches paid to put them in the best position to win. Definitely not the case with our former OC). But I really meant more as a matter of national perception. Our publicity coming out of that bowl was not bueno.

Developmentally Garbers is still in "half-baked" status. He would benefit a ton from another full season of experience. Then in 2021, having guys like him and Chris Brown as 4 year starters would give us a real shot at making noise. It's a longshot, but we need this season to happen.

No problem... Anyone who takes the time to review my posts dating back to the beginning of his tenure at Cal will find me in his corner all the way. As I said then and I will say now - he has a lot of "Pawlawski" in him and that counts for a lot in my book.

I don't give a ratsass about the national media. I only care about Wilcox's opinion.....
