I took my son and his friends to the Bay Pride vs Dream Team playoff game last night.
Which, by the way, is a fun and cheap ( free ) night out.
There were a number of families there. I got the impression they live near Kezar Stadium and go with a picnic dinner as a fun, inexpensive family night out in the neighborhood.
Harris Dyson and Austin arrived late ( after the game had started ) so obviously neither started but they played plenty of minutes.
Impressions.
Dyson:
looked a lot stronger than last year
very athletic
GREAT defender - incredibly quick while back pedaling in front of his man on defense
great at slashing to the hoop although he did miss his first 4-5 lay ups in heavy traffic. In the 4th quarter he finished 4-5 shots in a row.
Took two jumpers and missed them both. Shot looks good but not accurate
Austin:
strong
pretty good defender but no harris Dyson
decent command running the point
good at slashing to the hoop and finishing
not a good shooter - I think 0-4 on mid range and 3 point jumpers
Their Team fell down by 14 early. Closed it to 7 at the half and took a 4 point lead with 4 minutes to go in the game. Ended up losing by 4 or 5.
