He's probably spending most of his time growing bigger.

He must have had an accident or a mysterious disease. He's now down to 6.8.5. i'm anxious to see the medical report. listed heights should be taken with a healthy dose of salt.
So he visits today, and will commit by the end of the visit. Hey I'm optimistic since Fox is lights out on his overseas recruiting.

Lars has solid skills, a nice move to the basket, and a soft touch. He would be a great get for the program. And we can certainly use his size - whatever exactly it is. . .
Anyone know what the deadline is? Not for this guy in particular but for all recruits looking to play in 2019.

I'm sold early on Coach Fox's philosophy. If you don't want to get mixed in the muck of the paid circuit(AAU) , go get guys that are coachable(intl)

I'm excited that we now have several bigs. Heck, we even have enough to where they can go up against each other in practice! (Anticevich, Kelly, Thorpe, Kuany, Thiemann)Intuit said:

Right now, I'd have to say our biggest challenges appear to be (in clear order of importance):
1. shooting (South will help, but still...)
2. front court experience
3. lack of a star player
Great strategy to go after international players for whom our academic brand still has significant value.

Regarding shooting, I'd make that a top priority for 2020 recruiting. And I'm hoping one or two of the international freshies will be able to hit a respectable percentage of threes.
Now if we can parlay this into another German commit from 2020 Walker Kessler, it would nullify the Dirk could-have-been. Fox coached Kesslers older brother so it's not completely out of the question.
The international approach may be the answer to losing local talent to Fucla and The Bear Down keep Sean Miller crowd that steals every good recruit.

Hold on a minute there, big fella. We've seen the recruiting, which sure looks organized and effective, but we haven't seen the coaching yet. But if Fox is half as good a coach as he is a recruiter, we'll be just fine. Certainly would be a great get, but not much could nullify the " Dirk might have been". That might have been, with the team they had along with the addition of Dirk, it would have assured Cal of a National Championship.sheki said:

Not necessarily, just like Rabb and Brown did not assure us of the final four, as some fans wrote here. And Zion Williamson did not assure Duke of a national championship. Or Wilt Chamberlain, the greatest player in my lifetime, assure Kansas of same. If a great basketball player is added to an already very good team, sometimes there are not enough basketballs to go around and give every one their shot attempts. And there is no guarantee the team will be as good defensively with the great player in the lineup. True, the but the big name players do make the team a contender and a great chance of at least making the big dance.
