Top 50 recruit and starting PG. Rumors amongst the furds say Haase has lost the team. Let the Furds MBB dumpster fire begin.

Can Cal pillage anyone?

I think Haase is doing an outstanding job building the Stanford program and they should lock him into a long-term contract, before he decides to succeed what's-his-face, his mentor, at UNC. (this, despite EricBear's tactless remark about Hasse's "unkempt appearance")

Also Damari Milstead leaving Grand Canyon and heading to USF:

Old news. Recruited over with Terry. Haase wants to go up tempo, which was not happening with the slow Ryan. His turnover to assist ratio was about even and he was shooting around 33% from the field. Neither good for a combo guard. This has been discussed quite a bit a while back.

With the improved Sharma and Okpala gone, Furd is in rebuilding mode.

Hmmm, count me among those who hope that Haase remains on the farm a long, long time.

Furd did the right thing when they gave Dawkins several years to build a program. Haase deserves at least that long. The culture he's establishing, from the foundation up, might take a decade to reach fruition, maybe longer. Those seeking a quick fix might argue that Haase's charges even fared poorly against Wyking Jones' teams, but that's not the point. In this case, patience is the order of the day.
