Bradley is not an upper classman. He is a sophomore.stu said:
I'd say 4 of our upperclassmen carried us. Bradley, Anticevich, Austin, and South each played over 30 minutes and together scored 58 of our 72 points. In one sense that's a good thing but in another sense I'd like to see our younger players contributing more.
Of course, my mistake. Bradley confused me by playing like an upperclassmen.Golden One said:

Ben Braun wins this game.
Assist/TO ratio is now .732......there's now a trend that needs to stop.stu said:
I thought UCD PG #15 Manjon looked great - without him it would have been a blowout.
Cal's 15 turnovers concern me.
Grant seems to get off his shot more quickly?????calgldnbear said:
Grant with a double double tonight
He almost had one in the game against Cal Baptist (one rebound short)
Lots of things to clean up but the Bears are looking much better than the last few years
Go Bears!!!!!
Shows what the past two years have done to our standards, when someone can come away from tonight's game with a sense of optimism. (We barely eked out a win at home against UC Freakin' Davis, who came in at 2-5.)calgldnbear said:

Neither of those numbers, in and of themselves, are all that meaningful.stu said:
Other areas which concern me: we got only 3 offensive boards and we caused only 4 turnovers. I think more hustle is needed to improve those numbers.
When you have to start from the bottom, success gets measured differently. I still haven't finished the second half cause the first half just put me to sleep, but at least it's not giving up 96 points to Chaminade.Big C said:Shows what the past two years have done to our standards, when someone can come away from tonight's game with a sense of optimism. Why do you care? Davis had an A/TO of 9/4. They lost. Our ratio was 11/15. We won.bearup said:Assist/TO ratio is now .732......there's now a trend that needs to stop.stu said:

That should probably tell you something about the lack of meaning of those numbers, but I doubt it will.

IMHO both are indicators of intensity, and in the UC Davis game both were season lows. I suspect our advantage in total rebounds was due to UC Davis missing twice as many shots as we did. I doubt or offensive rebounding was low by design (everyone run back on defense) since UC Davis scored 11 points on fast breaks.Pigskin Pete said:Neither of those numbers, in and of themselves, are all that meaningful.stu said:
