Biggest problem tonight was perimeter defense. Not only was USF able to get off 27 threes (many of which were good looks), they made 12 of them. Tough to win with those kind of numbers.

Well I think I need to do what I did last year. Tune out. We are at least a 3 year rebuild. Enjoy. If I see they are on great but time to check out.

good looks? So wide open that it took our guys 4 steps to get back. Going under screens. No talking. Just horrible.

Perfect....unfortunately.

I thought Fox coached D. The BEARS are playing like the "usual suspects".

I'd put in a clip of Benicio DelToro and Co., but I'm pretty sad right now.

Cal = The Washington Generals

Coached by Bozo the Clown.

I am amazed that you are able to judge a coach after 8 games with an inherited team. Good on you, I guess.

The poor Bears have been coached by Bozo the Clown for a long time now. One clown got by on recruiting but never coached that NBA talent anywhere close to its potential. The second wasn't even a real coach and appears to have been Mike Williams giving a favor to his friend at donors' expense. This guy at least passes the "looks like a coach on paper" test, though his resume was very questionable. (Clown #1 had a great resume, but turned out to be a clown anyhow, so that doesn't mean much.)

I had some hopes Fox could at least right the ship, maybe get the team to NIT level in a couple years and then Cal could make a move for a top-shelf coach, and at least we'd be out of Cuonzo/Wyking Hell. And who knows? Maybe he'd surprise me.

Turns out we're still in that hell. Not sure if Fox can in fact get us out of the morass - I have hope and it'll take a full season to really get a sense of his worth. But right now he looks every bit the coach who failed spectacularly at Georgia. Whether it's talent, Fox or both, it's bad. Hope says it's possible Fox can right the ship. Evidence says he won't. Need more evidence, but right now hope is being replaced with bad news at a pretty steady rate.

I did not see the game. The press reports said that Cal players were yelling at each other during, I think, the third quarter. Did anyone see that? Who was yelling at who and why?

From the descriptions of the players attitudes and the apparent "punishment" wielded on Bradley, and adding to that Bradley's comment about acting more maturely after the New York trip, I wonder if there is some unhappiness between the coaching staff and players about things other than poor play in games.

Hope these are just growing pains, not dissension.

Not sure "yelling" but they were talking during breaks on the tube. There were a LOT of breakdowns defensively.
