USC? Cheating? I find that hard to believe. USC is well known for running clean sports programs. I am sure they will investigate thoroughly and fire everyone involved. In fact, I heard that the honorable Senator Mitch McConnell will be heading up the inquiry.

Possibly. Their defense seems to be based around the "rogue assistant" theory. But head coaches are still responsible by rule for their staffs and there's no doubt that usc was playing several players who should have been ineligible.

But SW Armpit State will lose 2 scholarships and have their one win of the 1936 season vacated for this.

Maybe the NCAA will hit Cal for being a co-conspirator - for running a program that was so unappealing to prospects that it provided a convenient cover for USC's violations: "We didn't have to bribe them to come to USC! What did you expect them to do, go to Cal?"
