This was the first time I've been there for a hoops game (I've been to a concert there previously).

The good: The HD video score board was pretty impressive.

The bad: The slope of the seating bowl is in my opinion too shallow - I'm pretty tall and could not see over the person in front of me. The concessions areas would benefit from some natural lighting - at the Oakland Coleseum Arena there are windows all around, which is nice. I felt like when I went to the concessions or walked around inside the arena I was in a cave.

Minor gripes with today's game: It would have been nice if they'd opened more concession stands. Also, there was no soap in many of the soap dispensers in the bathrooms - yuck!

Overall, I was not overly impressed with the Chase Center. What did others think?

Glad I didn't pay the ransom to walk around in the dark to see Cal lose. It really doesn't matter if its too dark. All that matters is being politically correct with dim lights. Plus for a supposedly first class operation they sold their soul to Pepsi.

Agree about the shallow slope. Of all the multitude of concession stands only one kind was open. I arrived at halftime of the first game and it took a full half hour to get my food. Furthermore, they couldn't figure out how to deal with my credit card and I'm pretty sure I got charged twice! Soap and towels in short supply in the men's room. And no information about whether the shuttle to the 16th street BART station was operating after today's game. I waited 10 minutes, gave up and hiked to a bus stop only to see the shuttle finally come and pass me by!
All in all, seemed like we were second class customers because it wasn't a sellout like the Warriors games.

But I did like the scoreboard. Just not the final score that was on it.

Chase plaza big and nice with a huge Warriors store (that was open).
Several restaurants (closed) were also in the plaza

Not only is the main screens gigantic and sharp, but there were many smaller screens underneath that showed stats such as EFG%, 2 pt and 3 pt shooting stats, assists, turnovers, etc.
Other screens around the stadium showed the traditional score board stuff (time, fouls, etc)

I was on the section closest to the floor (not on the floor) which I guess is their Club level. Had nice lounges, nice bathrooms, but there were only two vendors open (same vendors as other locations). Nothing special...just dogs, chicken nuggets, etc. Uninspiring.

Sound system was great

I read the capacity is 18K. The lower bowl was very nice, then two rows of box and club seats, then the upper bowl which looked very high and very steep. I would guess that if you sit here, you'd mostly watch the game action on the gigantic screen.

The band was there, but I only heard them play twice (maybe they played more at halftime?). They sat behind the basket (least amount of fans)

At the TV timeouts, most of the events were fans shooting contests ... different variations, but nothing very unique. The best one had 4 players shoot with makes winning. Two players were younger so they shot from the FT. Two were older so they shot from 3.

I'd guess that Cal fans outnumbered fans rooting for BC, but it wasn't by much. BC fans traveled well for the game.

I thought the inside layout of Chase was a little confusing... basically a maze to get to our seats, and overall nothing too interesting.

Lots of space to roam about. We walked all around but got loss twice...like a maze...various narrow hallways, some large expanse of plazas, few stairs, escalators thruout

Not many concessions opened, but free drink refills at scattered self serve soda stands

Bathroom soap dispensers were all out but they had white bottles of foam soap nearby, only 1/3 dispensers had paper towels. Tried three different restrooms...all three had the same situation with soap and paper towels

I bought my 2nd level tickets for cheap the first day Chase offered the txs. There were many others. We all had to exchange for new seats at no extra charge! Bonus was that we all got to sit on the first level!

First time to Chase. Easy BART ride to the Embarcadero station and quick free Muni ride to 16th St., dropping us off right in front of Chase. Very inviting plaza, decorated for the holidays.

Agree with some of the criticism about long lines at the only open concessionaire, City Bistro with a couple of locations. Plenty of restrooms, although not supplied well. Read that only about 10,000 were expected for both sessions, so was not worth it for most eateries to open.

Sat in the lower bowl and the viewlines were very good. Comfortable seats. One complaint about the seats are that in our row, all the seats in the row are connected. With young kids sitting in the row behind us kicking the seats in front of them, the vibration carried to our end of the row.

Other disappointment was that with the Cal Band and Dance Team in attendance, they only played once in each half. Other than that, we were fed a constant blast of DJ type music. Admittedly, I'm an old timer and the "entertainment" provided at games is these days is not to our taste.

Otherwise, Chase is a first class facility.

I went to a warriors game earlier this year and sat 1st level behind the basket. Thought the lower bowl was sloped fine, and it was likely steeper than the Oakland Arena (which had 2 decks shoehorned into the original 1 deck exterior) and definitely steeper than most of the generic shared hockey/basketball venues.

Definitely not as steep as Haas, which is great for watching in person, but bad for the TV cam.

It was definitely a maze.

Muni for a 'sold out' game there was pretty terrible when leaving, though. Walking would actually have been faster. What would really help is more trains staged for the end of the game and muni employees there to stop them from being overpacked which means every stop is super long as people shuffle to let other out. The Central Subway should improve it though, but there are a fair amount of surface track/stops before 4th and Brannan. Apparently they are building what is called 'Mission Bay Loop' which will allow short runs through the subway with a turnaround near Chase Center, so trains don't have to run all the way down the T Third.
