Dyson is a key contributor to our team as he adds a long athletic defender and slasher on offense

He would have been the defender on ellebey instead of brown and south

I was surprised they didn't post ellebey up and take advantage of the much shorter defender, or just have him shoot over our guards

Brown has a hope of a shot beyond 10 feet going in. Dyson does two layups a game and don't cut it. The defense he plays is not that exceptional to make up for the loss of offense. Ill take Brown every time

That was an enjoyable game to watch


This was not a convenient game to attend. it was a long drive after an end-of-day meeting in Sonoma. Then my wife said she could not go and the Berkeley-based friends were not available.

It would have been so easy to go to the gym instead, and then watch on TV. But I decided to go alone.

Five minutes into the game, the Bears were struggling and I was thinking dark thoughts about why anyone would want to be a masochistic Bear fan.

Then an unexpected strong comeback and a thrilling finish. Go Bears ! We are ready for the Huskies.
